Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette

This new palette features 12 exclusive matte eyeshadows—you won’t find any of these shades in any other Naked palette! The shadows are encased in a stunning rose gold palette with a huge interior mirror and double-ended eye brush. If you’ve never tried our matte shadows, you’ll be blown away by how different they are. Other mattes can be “skippy” – uneven on application or difficult to blend. But EVERY shade in Naked Ultimate Basics features our proprietary Pigment Infusion System™, which gives the formula a velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power and blendability.

The shadows include a range of warm and cool neutrals that blend easily together for all-matte eye looks or with the other Naked palettes. The range of shades in this palette is fantastic, it includes essentials like pale cream, soft taupe, warm brown and matte black along with a few more daring shades like terracotta, gunmetal and rose.
The shades include:
  • Blow (pale nude)
  • Nudie (nude pink)
  • Commando (light taupe)
  • Tempted (pale brown)
  • Instinct (medium taupe)
  • Lethal (burgundy)
  • Pre-Game (pale yellow)
  • Extra Bitter (burnt orange)
  • Faith (medium warm brown)
  • Lockout (neutral brown)
  • Magnet (smoky grey)
  • Blackjack (warm black)
The formula is beautiful!.. Matte eyeshadows can apply patchy or look chalky, but these are all beautiful, buttery and highly-pigmented. I experienced a teeny bit of fall-out when applying the darker shades like Magnet and Blackjack to my lashline, but expected even with the pigmented, quality shadows. Put it on your Christmas lists or treat yourselves! This palette is not to be missed! A great palette for maturing skin as it is extremely flattering or anyone who loves a matte shadow.

Available for £38.50 from Urban Decay or from all good beauty stores.

Too Faced 'Born This Way Naturally Radiant' concealer in Very Fair

Instantly hide imperfections, vanish the appearance of dark circles, and blur the look of lines and wrinkles for complete coverage so undetectable, they'll think you were Born This Way.

I think the collection is pretty good in terms of shades (from “Very Fair” to “Deep”), but with any line, there’s always someone who can’t find a good match. Sometimes I can’t even find my shade with brands who specialise in having “every shade”. That being said, I found a good match with Too Faced’s Born This Way Concealer in “very Light.” I am on the pale side with neutral more-toward-pink undertones. Some pale shades tend to be too pink or too yellow, but “very Light” worked out perfectly for me and really brightens my under eye area, the formula is super moisturising and I love the faint smell of coconut I smell when applying, The Naturally Radiant Concealer is made with coconut water and hyaluronic acid to moisturise without being oily, and Alpine Rose is to brighten and promote elasticity.

The shades -
Very Fair – pale with pink undertones
Fair – light with pink undertones
Light – golden undertones
Light Medium – medium with peach undertones
Medium – tan with golden undertones
Medium Tan – pink undertones
Tan – golden undertones
Deep Tan – golden undertones
Dark – golden undertones
Deep – pink undertones
I'm loving using mine along with the BTW foundation, they are match made in heaven.. Super long lasting, provide full cover, non drying, just flawless!! Available from all good beauty stores for £20.00.

Have you tried the concealer or foundation yet?
